The icy and deep Atlantic waters make the meat sweeter than other lobster. Perfect for elevating your appetizer spread, upscaling your favorite recipe, or making any meal an extra special occasion. Succulent and buttery, these Atlantic lobsters are at the apex of lobster flavor and tenderness. Mouth-watering Maine lobster tails delivered directly to your door? Yes, please!

These gourmet delicacies are sustainably wild-caught from the icy cold waters surrounding Maine and flash-frozen soon after being caught to deliver the freshest flavor and texture imaginable.

Maine lobster thrives in frigid Atlantic waters. The cold temperatures limit the amount of salt the lobsters can absorb into their bodies which preserves their natural sweetness and tender texture — and gives you a distinctive, buttery taste you can savor.

These Giant Lobster Tails are deliciously sweet, succulent, and easy to prepare. They are a highly sought-after delicacy throughout the world! Indulge and enjoy this treat from the sea.

KEY FEATURES

  • BUTTERY, TENDER MEAT. Maine lobster thrives in frigid Atlantic waters. The cold temperatures limit the amount of salt the lobsters can absorb into their bodies which preserves their natural sweetness and tender texture — and gives you a distinctive, buttery taste you can savor.
  • HEALTHY CHOICE. Lobster tails are a lean protein low in fat and high in nutrients such as omega-3s and selenium. Each tail averages 130 calories, 23 grams of protein, zero carbohydrates, and less than 2 grams of fat.
  • QUALITY SOURCING. Today Gourmet lobster tails are sustainably wild caught off the coast of Maine and flash frozen the day of catch to deliver succulent, buttery flavors at peak freshness.
  • THE FLASH FREEZING DIFFERENCE. Flash freezing uses extremely cold temperatures to rapidly freeze foods. The process is much faster than traditional freezing and locks in freshness, taste, and quality by minimizing ice crystal formation. (Fast forward through the cellular-level science.) Thanks to the smaller ice crystals, the food — when thawed — maintains its structure, moisture content, and texture.
  • HOW TO PREPARE. Your raw, uncooked lobster tails ship to you frozen in an insulated box with dry ice. When you’re ready to enjoy them, thaw overnight in the refrigerator. (Place them on a towel to catch drips.) Once thawed, we recommend butterflying the tails first. Use shears to cut them open from the top of the tail to the fin and then loosen the shell to expose the meat before cooking. Boil, steam, or grill in minutes.
  • HOW MANY TO ORDER? Choose from 6, 8, 10 or 12 tails. Each raw, unshelled lobster tail weighs between 4-5 ounces. In general, you should expect to get about 50% of cooked lobster meat out of each tail. We recommend one to two tails per person.
  • ABOUT TODAY GOURMET. We are a small, family-owned business with 30+ years of experience in the food industry. We know and love food. We only source the best products we can find and put an emphasis on working with family-owned businesses across the U.S. If we won't put it on our table, we won't put it on yours!

PREPARATION

Keep frozen at 0° F or below until ready to use. For best results, thaw before cooking by removing all packaging and refrigerate below 38° F for 8–10 hours or overnight.

BROIL: Place Alaskan Snow Crab on a broiler rack 5 inches from heat for 5 minutes until heated.

STEAM: Fill a large pot with 3/4 inch of water. Place a steam basket in the pot and bring the water to a boil. Place the Alaskan Snow Crab in the basket; reduce heat, cover, and steam for about 5 minutes until the crab is heated through.

SAUTÉ: Start with serving-sized pieces of Alaskan Snow Crab in the shell or out. Melt butter, margarine, or oil in a pan. Stir in Alaskan Snow Crab and sauté lightly for 3–5 minutes, until heated through. When sautéing with other ingredients, add crab during the last 5 minutes of cooking.

GRILL: Place Alaskan Snow Crab (legs and/or clusters) on well-oiled grill a few inches above hot coals for 5 minutes, until heated through.
